Roadmap

Roadmap

GenGuard is being developed in staged releases. The roadmap below shows the current direction of the platform and the major capabilities planned for future versions.

Current Foundation

Core Monitoring Platform

The current platform includes live telemetry, historical logging, generator clock monitoring,
poller health, alarms, site and device records, user administration, and dashboard integration.

Available

Maintenance Management

The Maintenance Workbook supports normal and severe-duty schedules,
initial baseline dates and engine hours, completion history,
technician notes, custom maintenance items, and dashboard reminders.

Available

Exercise Scheduling

GenGuard reads controller scheduler programs, displays enabled schedules,
shows exercise duration and mode, and calculates the next scheduled run
using the generator controller clock.

Available

Backup and Recovery

Integrated backup tools protect the database, application files,
poller and control services, logs, startup scripts, and recovery manifests.

Available

In Development

Report Center

Operational summaries, maintenance reports, schedule reports,
site health reports, alarm history, runtime analysis, and customer-ready output.

In Development

Improved Export Center

Multi-register export, preset and custom time ranges,
better preview tools, and future support for additional formats such as Excel and JSON.

In Development

Engineering Documentation

User, administrator, installation, developer, and engineering reference documentation
will be developed alongside the software.

In Development

Dashboard Refinement

Continued improvements to scheduled-event visibility,
maintenance attention items, equipment summaries, and overall site health.

In Development

Planned Expansion

Automatic Transfer Switch Monitoring

Support for ATS status, source availability, transfer events,
exercise activity, alarms, and maintenance history.

Planned

Fuel System Monitoring

Fuel level, fuel consumption, estimated runtime,
tank maintenance, delivery history, and low-fuel alerts.

Planned

Multi-Device and Multi-Site Management

Centralized management for multiple generators, transfer switches,
fuel systems, and facilities within one GenGuard deployment.

Planned

Notifications

Email, SMS, and future integration with external notification services
for alarms, maintenance reminders, failed exercise events, and reporting.

Planned

Customer Portal

Secure access to approved software downloads, release notes,
documentation, reports, and support resources.

Planned

Predictive Maintenance

Long-term analysis of runtime, temperature, battery condition,
fault history, maintenance activity, and equipment behavior
to identify developing problems before failure.

Future

Development Philosophy

The roadmap may evolve as new controllers, equipment types, deployment requirements,
and customer needs are identified. GenGuard will continue to prioritize reliability,
safe control architecture, maintainability, documentation, and long-term data preservation.
